Hi, ive just installed joomla, and am about to purchase an expensive template from joomlajunkie.com, but the thing is, i’m not sure about the template’s full potential,

This is the template demo

http://www.joomlajunkie.com/demo/index.php?template=ario

I’m want to add an affiliate script, flash ad banners, news feed, forms, blog links and alot of mini gifs in the sidebar, in other words, like a portal.

Is this possible with this template? can it be modified to add the said extensions? or joomla extensions?

10x for ur help!

hey
at first of all i am not so famelier with jomla
but all i know is that this site is providing you with pages and sub pages website
simple
clear
but still pages and sub pages
and u have all the tools there to make your content
but still there is a system that u will follow
and i think u cant do what you want to do
but its my own thought and thats what i learned
may be i am wrong
thx

I have an H-Sphere hosting account. Im running a Joomla CMS and I’ve just updated the templates. I need to make additional changes to specific templates but apparently I dont have permissions to make the changes. I tried to apply CHMOD to the files and still I cannot reupload-delete-or edit any files in that directory. In my FTP I see the owner of the files as httpd

Files with owner httpd are created by your webserver. You can only change ownership of those files if you:

a) are the owner, or
b) are root on the machine in question.

You will not be able to meet (a), as i previously explained why. If you are root, use the command chown to switch ownership of those files to you and modify them as needed. If not, then consult your system administrator.
