using internet explorer right hand click the image you want to change - view the properties of it so as you can find the location of it in your joomla installation.

using the right hand click method again save it to your local pc - open it up in your graphics program of choice and customize or recreate it using the same dimensions.

remember to save it as the same name and then upload it to the location as noted in step one
