Suppose your website’s content violated one of their terms of service, can they somehow remotely disable their scripts from running on your website?

No. Those are open source content management system tools and have no jurisdiction over content. Only web hosting companies that limit the kinds of content you can post have that kind of authority.

Open source projects are run by decentralized communities of developers and designers. They do not exert any kind of authority over who uses their tools for whatever purpose.

What would happen is that your domain would be flagged, and disabled by your host. Changing hosts wouldn’t change things.

Terms of service are there to protect all users, and should be respected.
