Where can I get professional looking Joomla templates, for free? I dont mind having a ‘Joomla’ text button, nothing big/flashy.

I am going for a gaming theme site, so.

And also, where’s a good place to find free add-ons like members can RSVP for a party and have their name show up as attending.

There are hundreds out there if you Google "Joomla templates free" but beware as a badly designed template can reduce usability and speed – and cool! In technical terms I would recommend using WC3 compliant xhtml / css based templates.

And I would guess that one of the Reservations plugins might achieve the party invite system you are looking for. Just download, install and test out a few and see which gives you the best options.
